Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Medication Tech to join our team in Tacoma, WA.

Function: Provide residential medication monitoring services to mentally ill consumers. Facilitate the community adjustment of consumers at high risk for institutionalization. Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Park Place residents’ self-administration of medications.
  • Ensure follow-up on referrals and facilitate continuity of care.
  • Gather medical history and information, vital signs as directed by a Registered Nurse or provider.
  • Document all medication monitoring and self-medications in HER program Medication Administration Record daily by end of shift.
  • Coordinate with the medical team to ensure medications are ordered and filled.
  • Provide services and activities for residential consumers that enhance self-care skills, independence, social skills, and self-reliance.
  • Provide activities designed to enhance community and milieu adjustment.
  • Provide clinical treatment supportive services for clinical staff.
  • Maintain clinical records and provide reports in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
  • Participate in meetings and activities as required.
  • Coordinate activities with other team members and other staff.
  • May be required to work evenings and/or weekends depending upon program needs.
  • In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with mentally ill individuals.
  • WA State credential/license.
  • Skilled in MS Word and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license; proof of insurance.
